Yellow Brick is thrilled to announce that they have formally been awarded a contract to publish, Simplifying the Complex, by Emerald Publishing Limited. The book aims to provide readers with an overview of the fundamentals of the Transition and Activation Planning process.
An avid reader, Yellow Brick President, and CEO, Kelly Guzman, recognized the lack of material available to hospital leadership when tasked with activating a new hospital facility or space. It was because of this that she decided to make publishing this guide the organization’s 2019 goal. Each member of the team was tasked with a specific role, whether it be chapter owner, editor, or graphic designer.
“This has been a labor of love of our entire team,” shared Kelly. “It was surreal when we received the news back from Emerald that not only were they interested but that they wanted to publish it. It really validated all our efforts.”
Set to be published in late 2019 to early 2020, the team hopes that the book can serve as a roadmap for healthcare leaders, communicating the tools and processes required to plan and implement a Transition and Activation Project.
“Our goal is to leave readers with both a high-level understanding of the requirements necessary to activate a new facility and a path forward for their journey.”
Yellow Brick thanks all it’s clients, friends, and family who have supported and continue to support the organization’s mission of delivering unparalleled project management expertise to the healthcare industry.
